Rotza Liyhot Kochav
The primary project of the Professional Women's Theater--"Rotza Lihiot Kochav"-consists of a performance competition for women in the areas of voice, dance and theater. Based on programs like "A Star is Born" or "American Idol", the initial rounds of "Rotza Lihiot Kochav" include female judges who offer constructive criticism and choose two performers to progress to the next level. Those chosen for the finalist round win longer stage time at the final performance. Ultimately, with the implementation of the PWT Agency, the finalists will become contract-signed artists of the PWT Agency, where they are promoted for top-level performances for all-female audiences throughout Israel. While the organization targeted the religious sector initially (since halachik issues of kol isha and modesty prevent women from performing in front of men), gradually, women of all denominations took keen interest in the high artistic standards set and the comfortable space created when interacting with other creative and talented women.
While the "Rotza Lihot Kochav" competition already exists, its publicity and geographic expansion has been severely limited due to lack of funds. Therefore, securing proper funds will allow us to fully implement the Agency, which will enable these professional performers to inspire others across Israel and become financially self-sufficient (or at least contribute financially to their families.)
